I painted the ceiling in my living room "Cloud" (Benjamin Moore), then did the crown & window trims in "Arcadia White" (also BM) -because I already had some from another project. The walls are BM Bassett Hall (Williamsburg Collection). It looks OK to me, but I'm terrible with color and was wondering if there is a set formula for matching ceilings with crowns & trim; i.e., should the crown & trim always just be a semi-gloss version of the ceiling, or is it OK to mix it up?
