I didn't even know people even used the trade lists anymore....Can't you find your profile when you go to Your Houzz in the upper right hand corner?

Thanks for your responses. I reviewed the cactus & succulent exchange but it's not exactly what I was looking for.

I have not logged in since they've made the changes bringing the GardenWeb site under the Houzz umbrella.

Under the former system, I used to search for users looking for plants & cuttings that I had to give away. I would contact them through their profiles. I also searched for possible swap partners for plants I wanted. This created a real sense of community. It was an incredible way to build your own collection while helping others do the same.

That's a thing of the past I guess, huh?

When I click on my profile pic on the upper right hand side, I get nothing...Nothing happens.

When you click on your profile pic, a drop down menu should come up. Check your browser.

Don't click the image, click the words 'Your Houzz' (circled in red below)...

I find mine by clicking my name/your houzz (seems to be all one link) in the upper right corner. Or I can click my name in a thread.

Thank you CarolB & Crenda... I will bookmark that. CactusMCharris, I am finally recognizing some of the former forum usernames. There are many that seem to have left, as well. Is there a way to conduct a user search?

So am I correct in assuming that we are no longer utilising trading lists? Those were so helpful. I really miss the old forum, but like everything else technology related, get with the program or get left behind. I'm getting too old for this move on or be mowed over mentality.

Don't get me wrong I do appreciate this site. it's an invaluable storehouse of information and shared ideas. I'm just not a fanatic of so much change.

I think there is a way of making trade list but I forget. Ask the "establishment". I know that some people on the Texas Gardening forum use the "Idea books" for plant swaps. One can edit them easily taking items on and off..

Is there no way you can make a list of things you want/things you have when you populate your profile page (I'm asking because I've not done anything beyond the basics on my page)?

How would users find me and how do I find them? Is

there a way to conduct a search that would allow me to find say people who have San Pedro cactus? More importantly, how do we share personal information for a swap without violating houzz rules?

Crenda, if that's my profile page I can get there easily by just clicking on my name in any of my postings. What I'm trying to figure out is how do I update my profile and see all my account information. I got there yesterday, but I can't for the life of me figure it out again. I'm actually logged in via an Android phone. I'm not in front of a computer right now. Perhaps that's the issue.

CactusMCharris, when I get did get into my profile page I did see my "Have / Want" list from 2 years ago...So that list for former GardenWeb users is still in the system. Yay! Now if I could just access it!

OK..Issues resolved. My list was under "Advanced Settings" when I went to edit/update my profile. Now when someone looks me up, they can see what I have and want. We can email from within Houzz to obtain addresses and communicate privately and everything is copacetic!

• GardenWeb trade lists have now been restored and are editable via the Edit Profile page - More info
• Rich text features have been supplemented for your posts and comments. Bullets and numbering is now available for forum posts and comments.
