engineered hardwood in my kitchen?

I have a large open kitchen ,living and dining area and a beautiful engineered hardwood to go throughout but I have always had tile in my kitchen! I worry about water spills and wear. There really isn't a good separation point to do tile and hardwood.

If you have a minute to share your experiences with me , I would appreciate it.

I don't have personal experience, but people seem pretty happy with wood floors in their kitchens. i do think that an extra layer of sealer is suggested...

The trend is hardwood throughout, we rarely do a kitchen tile separation anymore. Engineered hardwoods are extremely durable and made to withstand kitchen use like water and wear. Hardwoods in the kitchen are also much easier on your legs than working on a hard, unforgiving tile.

I love hardwood floors in the kitchen. Softer on the feet and they don't show dirt easily.

I have had hardwood in a kitchen. I cleaned up spills relatively quickly, and it was fine.
