art above brick fireplace

Hi,
I have a large piece of art, approximately 4 ft by 5 ft that I've placed over my brick fireplace. A lot of sites say art should be placed 3-6" above the top of the fireplace, but since I don't have a mantle, when I hang it at that height it appears to too low. I hung it much higher. The bottom of the art is 18" above the top of the fireplace, and the center of the art is 36" above the fireplace. The ceilings are 8 ft high. In the attached photo, does the art look placed at the correct height?
