Unwrap Fig Tree in NJ

I keep reading that the middle of March is ok to unwrap a fig tree in NJ, given that the lows are usually above freezing. It's definitely warmer this year, above average and the extended forecast looks good for above freezing lows. Is it ok, or too soon, to unwrap fig trees in NJ? I want to start the wake up process to ensure a good harvest this year.

It really depends on things like how much insulation there is, as well as ventilation, sun exposure, what materials...You don't want it to get warm in there, tomorrow is supposed to be 75 here and I uncovered most trees this pas weekend already. A light freeze ~25 F will not hurt a dormant tree, and you can always throw a tarp over it for the night if it wakes up early or there are unseasonably cold temperatures.
