I actually think you need a bigger TV. The décor looks fine, but both the décor and the cabinet are dwarfing the TV. Maybe something on top of tv?

You would need to measure your space or tape it out on the wall.

If you give the measurements of the cabinet and the height above the TV, maybe can find some that will work. This might, comes in 3 different sizes

I do think the tv looks somewhat small on top, however, you can do things to make your tv appear larger. I think if you mounted your on the wall and put a tv frame on it, you could visually balance the space much more, and maybe have some photos or wall sconces on each side. I have seen a lot of sconces lately that are very pretty, modern, candle sconces, at places as cheap as Ross. Also, painting the wall behind the tv will also make it stand out less.

What about a group,of three neutral colored pictures? I saw this I liked...I don't really want to hang the TV because it's not a big area amd the height is perfect ....I would like a larger TV some day but for now.....

I cleaned off the top of the cabinet...I would like a simple tall piece of decor for the left of the TV...any suggestions? I tried neutral pictures above...should I stagger the arrangement? I ordered these from Pottery Barn, they said Ivory but have a yellow tone. I know I need a bigger TV but that will be Christmas...Need help in the meantime

Instead of buying a new tv right now...I raised the current television . I think it looks better, but what about the art above it? And what sized items do I need for the sides on the cabinet??

Sorry, I just don't get why people think they need to decorate around their tv. At least you're not putting up sconces on either side, like its some sort of shrine to worship upon. I love my 60" tv, but I'm not about kneel before it. Not unless it's a 4K with George Lucus surround.

If you must pay homage, do so with items staggered on one side, not directly above. Since after a month, this is still bothering you, I would encourage you to frame your tv & mount it directly above your console. The cheat should work till you can upgrade, and fixes the issue of needing added wall decoration. Others have already made the same suggestion, so I'm guessing this is not something you are open to, but I think it looks better than what you are currently trying to do.

I don't understand how decorating a wall with a feature already on it (TV) is a sign of worship or shrine building. Similar to decorating a window feature wall or a fireplace feature wall, except the TV is uglier, so it takes way more thought.

Our small TV is hanging on the wall and I have a painting above it and a smaller one below it. It works for our room. Our big TV is on a bookshelf surrounded by books, family photos and certain of our favorite things.

I love the driftwood backing for the TV! Main! Very cool. I have never seen anything like that.

Keep your items smaller, when you put large items there it just emphasizes how small the TV is.
