We are remodeling our 1960's kitchen and replacing old flooring with glue down vinyl wood planks. It runs to the foyer entryway which has old slate with broken grout. Flooring specialist suggested continuing the vinyl wood all the way to the front door. Beyond is carpet in living room. Will this work, having vinyl in entryway? I'm used to something more weatherproof, though the vinyl is chosen because of its endurance to water spills and traffic (pets and grandkids).
