Here's my 'Kaktus' a much more congested low form.

Pinus pseudopumilio 'Kaktus' (very similar)

Pinus pseudopumilio 'Kaktus'

The funny thing is yours does look more like a cactus, but the question is, did you get any material for Lytomysl? That would explain a lot.

My scionwood is of Polish origin. I've never received 'Lytomysl'.

I appreciate you bringing this to my attention & will ask a friend his opinion.

Thanks,

Dax

Great, let us know how it figures out.

News just arrived.

Pinus mugo (PL) = pseudopumilio (CZ).
WB found David Holubec.
Number 162
Name 'Kaktus'

Broom Universe 114 Jiri Balatka Collection 13

Second photo up from the bottom.

So technically my plant is Pinus mugo var. pseudopumilio 'Kaktus'

My friend in Poland obtained his scionwood from Mira Malik of The CZ Republic.

I think we both have the same plant. It's entirely possible mine is on a more vigorous root-system which has slight effects on appearance.

Cool. Solved.

You have a handsome plant.

I like it. Thank you.
