Correct size of pendant-- Nelson saucer--Large or Extra Large

Would like to order the Nelson saucer to go over dining table. Which size would be appropriate?

Attaching a photo of the great room -- bare...

And a photo of the table.. The table/chairs (not benches) will be placed in the front of room ... (living room furniture will be around the fireplace...)

The table is 87 inches long. It will be positioned lengthwise in the room. The ceiling is sloped and around 16 feet high.

All suggestions welcomed!

I'm thinking about the light... it looks like the Hindenburg. Look at some of the lighting Marie Hebson has suggested above. I would also change out the white placemats and move the shelf unit out from under the lemons (nice).

Just in case: the Nelson Extra Large pendant is 48 inches diameter; the large is 36 inches diameter

Given the size of your table I would suggest 2 of the smaller 36in lights over the table.

Love the table, but it is not wide, so I would choose the 36"..but make sure you hang it low enough. Also be sure to paint your walls & ceiling a color so it really shows off its great style.

If you hand it too low you'll have to look around it when dining or entertaining - so the lower you go, the clearer the fixture needs to be. Love the look but not always practical.

Some fixtures for your consideration - I've always liked bigger is better - especially in an open concept room - I'd definitely do 36" minimum up to 50" diameter - you have the ceiling height to handle it...

Actually, I quite love it too... when it was installed, the room transformed... we like to think of ourselves as the Jetsons!

I would need to know the width of the table, but the light fixture in the photo you provided is too wide and should be less. Someone sitting down at the table will hit their head on the fixture.
