I would run the porch to about a foot from the windows. Try round pillars (white) for the porch. Paint the trim around the windows & door and garage door trim white (it will make the front windows seem larger). Also, paint your garage door the color of your siding. It will make a huge difference. Change light fixtures to be larger and black or dark rubbed oil color. Add a white octagon faux vent over your garage door half way to the peak.

Great advice thank you Barbara Griffith Designs. I am not sure I have the money to do all that though. I was thinking of maybe using square half pillars with stone on the lower half with a railing in white. The green will be covered in white aluminum for woodpecker damage control. I was thinking about a faux vent too though--great minds...I wanted to change out the siding to shake but don't think I have enough money for that also. Tks for your advice.
