Sorry but the browns don't work with your finishes at all. The split face tile is just too brutal a texture to use with your cabinets and counters. None of the above.

If you are going with the rustic feel I would go with the second picture (natural stone). Glass is much more contemporary and will date your kitchen. The first tile option is going to look very busy once installed so if your granite is already busy, I would not go for the first option. Plus, if your granite is your focal point and the "wow" factor in your kitchen, the first tile will take away from that. The second picture (natural stone) is the way to go! From the picture it looks like it matches the some of the lighter colors in the granite almost perfectly and stays true to the rustic feel of the rest of the kitchen!

Other ideas welcome. I have houzzed "titanium granite backsplash ideas" but most are with movement. Really like the mono. Again, other suggestions welcome as this is something I am only doing once...Need it done right.

I think that I see two back splash options. one is a a coffee brown glossy tile. the other looks like a stacked beige limestone. I would not pick either of those and I can't see how they would coordinate with the counter, which is beautiful.

there is another image with the granite next to something grey. it does not look like a back splash. in any respect, it also does not work.

Definitely agree the Browns don't work. The color of the natural stone is nice. Can you get that one in a honed finish rather than the split face? That could work nicely.

that granite is beautiful and it just does not look very rustic.

Can you post a larger photo of your kitchen? You have dark cabinets and dark counters, you'll really need a lighter backsplash for contrast.

I would try to find a light yellow/yellow beige to tie in with the color of the vein. And I would get a matte finish rather than a glossy finish. You have a lot of "glossy" with your granite, and you need to counter-measure that with the simple color/matte tile.

Such a pretty kitchen you will have! I like the stone look but worry about how it will clean up in a cooking setting. Have you thought about a honed subway tile- non glossy and it wouldn't compete with your pretty granite!

I hesitate to post this as 1. Lights are not up yet, 2. It looks like a dark kitchen when it really is a lot of light from the side where I am standing.

The over island lights are pendants, see pic below..Two of them. Behind me is a 9 foot by four foot peninsula, open to great room (rustic). To the right of me in this pic is an open staircase to the second floor, which is open to great room.

Wanted to hold off on posting whole kitchen pix until completion. Knobs will be all black and chunky (some are on, some are not in this picture). Floors are lighter wood.The window you see is a pass thru to 3 season room and other is above sink (to my left in this picture, before the large peninsula). The white/grey someone referred to in the earlier pictures is my bare wall waiting for backsplash.

I would coordinate with the lighter colors in your granite.

Hundreds to select from at Home Depot. There is a glass arabesque pattern tile also.

No pattern, no gloss, why not just paint the backsplash with washable paint the same light color as the other walls? I don't see the need for more, more, more in your beautiful kitchen. If you have to have tile, then an unobtrusive tile in a slightly rough surface in as close a color as you can get to the rest of your wall paint. Definitely no more additional design elements.
