A swinging door makes sense to me! I cooked a made from scratch dinner last night and if I had to go in and out of a pantry door, I would hate to have to open and shut the door all of the time.

I happen to like the closing door on my pantry because I have to feed my cats separately, and one gets fed in the pantry. A swinging door wouldn't help me, but if you like it, go with it. It seems a door is easy to fix if you change your mind.....as long as you can find a swinging door.

Swinging doors are used in kitchen entrances/exits in restaurants. It seems practical and I like the idea but it would depend on how it would look with the kitchen you have.

My house used to have a swinging door between the kitchen and dining room. I can tell because there is a round hole in the top of the inner door frame.

I am considering a swinging door for our pantry in new construction and would love to see your final picture! I'm thinking of an old fashioned, wooden screen door.
