curious to know what you do with borage. Mine self seeds here in NH and can become a huge plant. I don't care for the bristles.

Uhm. Well. I pretty much use it with booze. It goes great with Hendricks gin. I make a tea out of the leaves, then mix that with simple syrup and the gin. I freeze the flowers in ice cubes to go in the drink (the flowers taste the same as the leaves, but don't have the weird texture). I can't remember the exact recipe, but it's easy to find googling "borage fizz." Enjoy!

Thanks, that's a new one for me. Sometimes I grow things planning to use them and then don't. It's a good bee plant and self sows so it continues to have a place in my garden even if I don't put it to good use.

I stack up to medium size leaves and slice them into thin slivers to put on a salad. Makes the fuzziness issue just about go away, and you still have the cucumber flavor.

I will have to remember that with young leaves. The plants get huge.

I've heard that when growing in fabric pots (I believe called SmartPots) the roots will "air prune" themselves which is healthy for the plant since it won't get root bound. Maybe that's what'll happen to your borage?
