Need help with bath vanity

My current vanity fits wall to wall. That means it is 51 inches wide. I need to replace it but I don't want the expensive of custom. If I use a smaller size, I will spaces on either side. If I use a 48 inch vanity then 1 1/2 inch on each side, or if I use 36 then it would 7 1/2 inches. What's a girl to do?
