I'd take them off and those wire window boxes too. Do some foundation planting with taller things between the Windows. Define that nice curved walkway with an edging of perennials. Some landscape lighting to highlight at night. And trees for shade.

Replace the storm door, add pots of color on porch, paint the lamp post and add address numbers.

REmove them they do not suit the house get a new door in some great color get rid of the storm door and add a phantom screen and plantings all along the walkway and infront of the house and no window boxes either.

I agree with no shutters, if possible. Otherwise, I would go with a dark blue. Go with a shade (or two) darker than you think because the sun will brighten them up naturally.

The house definitely needs shutters. I vote for gray. But more importantly the house needs foundation plantings to soften the look.

Absolutely...no shutters. So many reasons: here are three...shutters are vinyl; shutters do not fit; most importantly, your house is not a cottage/Colonial/traditional. Stay with the design.

If you want color, do a new front door and, if needed, a full view storm door painted the same color as the door.

Appropriate foundation plantings and additional landscaping would be a great investment.

I would repaint the shutters the same colour. New paint will look better. Matches the roof nicely. Add wood to make the part under the windows flush with the brick. I suspect this house used to have large windows and then smaller windows replaced them. Paint this filled in wood area the same colour as the brick...as close as you can get. For the left wing of the house, paint this siding the same colour as the brick as well. Add foundation plantings, especially to hide the green hose, lol. Take off the storm door, paint the entry door teal green/blue.
