I think it looks good too. The two small pictures over the couch aren't quite right for the look.

Yes and I agree with the above. Do the wall in a sisal color in the rug and do the blue as accents...its too much

I think it needs to be integrated a little more. I agree about the art, it's too small and doesn't work well. Your walls and rug are very much alike in color and seeming style and your furnishings seem alike in a different color and style. I think you need to integrate them a bit more with each other. Agree with CMR, re: the blue would be better as an accent.

I think as-is the room looks rather weighed down and heavy--heavy in color with not a lot of depth and dimension. With the walls and rug as is, to make the room look "lighter" I would change out the couches for a cream color and add one large (light and airy feeling) piece of artwork over the couch.

The color is a bit overpowering, and everything looks too dark and heavy. I agree with standinginline, that the couches need to be a lighter color and less bulky.

If you love the blue, then it's just fine. The art would work better if you hung the prints not quite so high and centered them evenly with the couch.

Either pick blue walls or blue accents. Too much of one thing is never good. I like the picture Welcome Home Designs posted.

I think you need a huge mirror behind couch, what is that light? Is it a hanging light or on the wall? Possibly some tall floral dried decor lighter in color. Seem really dark... Couch needs to be lightened up with pilows maybe. Or a cover?

I think it's refreshing to go with a blue room. Stick with it but use a bit more contrast in the art and drapes I would change out to a cream. Use larger pictures about 6"s above the sofa & 2' down from the ceiling. And you will find it will have a more anchored look.

I love the fact that someone is pushing the envelope. You did the right thing painting your home in dramatic colours and I love this blue. I have put examples of heavier more dramatic uses of colour in a room - In each case you will see there is a counterpoint of light, one uses a large lemon yellow canvas and a white sofa, the other uses a white accents and the other uses gold.

Take a picture of your room and turn it black and white. I think you will find your room looks very dark. What you need to do is bring in some counterpoint light. I like your orange but that is a dark orange tone - so introduce a cool colour like the green or even some lighter blue - this should take the form of a large canvas above your sofa, and then, on your b&w photo identify points where you need more light and introduce accents in the form of cushions, vases or even piles of books or ornamental boxes in that colour

It is a lovely blue. I don't think you made a mistake with the wall color or your accents. I love those couches too...I would not get rid of those!

When I look at it...I see that what is above the couch is what is making the space thrown off. I would go with a large muted color piece of art...or something mostly light with splashes of color in it. The key point being...it's big. The two small prints are not working in the space.

Like most have said the blue is fabulous and the rest of your décor is off to a great start. Certainly the pictures on the wall are letting you down, I wrote an article in my idea-books about how to use affordable pictures and prints more effectively .. have a read of that. You definitely need something big and light over the couch. A canvas with some orange and lighter blue. I also think you a new coffee table. The glass is not covering enough of your rug - a different table would take away some of the blue you see. And I think you want to stay away from more brown. I like the red table above ASVinteriors used. Your room is exotic and very warm and welcoming, and that blue is gorgeous.

I love your Moroccan theme. I agree with the others about the pictures you have up. Maybe try to find something that has a Moroccan theme to it.

The blues are wonderful. I am not a fan of heavy brown furniture, but it can be made to work. Add white and cream in a big picture and pillows, drapes and accents.

Is there a window opposite the couch? Maybe a mirror somewhere could bounce some lightness around.

Try getting rid of all your nick-nacks, the chest beside the sofa, and the plant. A larger picture will cover some of that blue, which I like. Good luck.

The blue looks great! The pictures could be bigger and maybe some more texture. Oh and lamps.

Maybe a couch that's a bit lighter would do the space more justice.

I really love the blue especially with it pared with the warm neutral colors of the couch. it looks warm and inviting. However, if it is not settling just right with you, i think what you may need to do is add some warm lighting sources around the room. This room could be SO beautiful if you properly lit the space. I can see a lot of different options working for this room anywhere from moroccan to modern exposed lightbulb look. Just keep the wattage down and add a few small lights. That way, you get a different atmosphere with different combinations of those lights turned on. Good luck and good job! Way to be bold. People these days are so afraid of color. I guess it takes guts to not live our lives in neutrals. Good for you! :)

I also thing that if you had a warm neutral rug traded out for the blue rug, it would really help the room. I also agree with the artwork needing to be bigger behind the couch. A mirror works as well.
