Esale Rugs return - help quick!

So I have a huge rug (and some smaller) to return. I kept the bright green plastic packaging the rugs all came in. I cut it carefully when I opened it so I could re-seal them if I needed to return. The weight was 82 lbs. I'm returning and re-wrapped them in the green stuff. It was ripped when it arrived, and then where I cut it open didn't close all the way so we wrapped it in the huge saran stuff (from Home Depot that you use when you move). DH just took it to FedEx and they refused the package because it was wrapped in plastic. He just texted me that they ended up accepting it, but all the reviews I've read raved about the easy returns and no one mentioned the packaging. Has anyone had this issue before. Want to warn others of FedEx's apparent no plastic policy.

I returned three rugs to them. Large 12x12's . I used the original green wrapping which was quite beat up and used packaging tape to get it somewhat back together. Wasted two whole roles on one rug. Very heavy and wow. But FedEx didn't bat an eye for me. Maybe its just your local yokels who want to be barney fifes ...

Did FedEx delivery it? Wasn't it wrapped in plastic when it was delivered? I just received a rug from UPS and it was delivered wrapped in plastic.

Yes, they did. We wrapped it in the same plastic, but added more of our own to cover what they ripped and some other splits. That's what I told DH to tell them. I don't know what was said to get them to take it, but they eventually did.

i am trying to return 3 rugs and cannot figure out how to do it. wrong color reason.

I've received things in plastic from FedEx all the time. I wonder when they implemented this policy.

I'm guessing it's the weight/thickness of the plastic that FedEx is questioning. If you have most of the original wrapping I would do as missymoo and patch everything with heavy packing tape

For a fee FedEx will pack items for you and they also sell packaging. If you're handy with a knife and tape, you can make your own telescoping boxes.
