Finding the door is part of the fun, because you can find some real hidden gems with history at local resellers, at estate sales, or even on local listing sites like craigslist. If you don't like the idea of a used or reclaimed door, you can have a carpenter build one for you, or you can simply do a Google search for "Barn Style Doors" and look for companies that make sliding doors much like the one pictured above. Some look traditional, and some are quite modern/contemporary.

One of the most important things to consider though is making sure that you have enough room for a door like this to slide all the way open to one side of the doorway or the other.
