Interior designer for a small project

Hi, We recently booked a new construction 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath 2000 sq feet home. We need an interior designer to bring some character to the plain cookie-cutter home. We want to do some cabinetry, wall and ceiling finishes, all new furniture etc. Do designers sign up for small projects like these? No walls need to be broken or no kitchen and bath remodel needed.

Yes, interior designers take on projects of all different sizes. Talk to some designers in your area to see who might be available to help you. Looking at local designers on houzz will help you select designers with good reviews and whose style you like.

Maybe you need a decorator and not a designer.

Good point. Do I need a designer or a decorator? Most of my expected work is around space planning, wall and ceiling ideas, cabinetry and some furniture and decor shopping.

That is not nearly as small of a project as you think it is. Or as cheap. A whole house full of furniture can cost half the price of the house if you want quality.
