My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

What is my ceiling made of?

Do you think this is cedar, knotty pine, or something else?


i should note that this is a realty photo of the previous owner's furnishings.

    My husband and I just installed one (and yes, we are still married!) It's most probably tongue and groove pine. The knots come with the territory. After we completed the job, we were absolutely, positively sure we were NOT going to install the finish-in-place quarter-sawn oak floor. As a matter of fact, we were quite sure we weren't going to nail in another piece of wood anywhere, and certainly never climb another scaffold again in our lives!
