Off Topic, Update

Most of you may remember the time I had with my Kenmore Elite dishwasher. I was experiencing the same with the new one. I suspected part of the problem was my everyday dishware witch happens to be bone china. After researching the care of said china, BOOM! It doesn't like temps over 140* Which I have used for quite some time, with high temp. and sani rinse options. So I tried the normal cycle with high temp (135*) so all is well now. The hihger heat was confirmed when I washed dog bowls in the cycle using the sani rinse option. Except I am really P.O'd. that I spent $700 for nothing! And while the Whirlpool Gold total coverage spray cleans really good, I MISS my old one and wish to high heaven I had it back.

I think Bea being a valued and long time member in the laundry room ment to post here as she knew we were waiting for her review of her new dishwasher. Not laundry related, but this Family of Friends share all sort of off topic subjects.

Beagle,

Glad your problem was resolved. Did you mean to post over on the Appliance forum?

Mama is right, Bea should post here, as we all have a light dishwasher fetish too!

Glad you figured it out, but sorry you now miss your Gold machine! Ughhhh. It is always something, right?

Dishwasher and Laundry fetishes at the same time? This may be getting serious:-) Is it a water thing do you think?

It fine to post in all the forums and I just wondered if Beagle meant to post on the Appliance forum.

Bea..will changing the temp affect the flatware and other things? Glad you solved your problem, sorry all it took was a temp change and not a new machine.

Homepro, no I did not intend to post in the Appliance Forum.

Pink I can't really say. I know some have said really high temps aids in etching. I will say that most of my flatware seem cleaner and more silky if that's the term. Some have said that Cascade will cause stainless knives to develop rust spots and in some cases pitting. It seems to be the lemon scented or ones with citric acid added. I try to wash them by hand as some have spots on them. Not sure if the Platinum pacs have CA in them. Thanks Pink. Now if we just get Queenie taken care of. sigh.
