I would think back of the shower, opposite the shower head.

do a freestanding bench if possible. you can move it under the spray, move it out of the way, and take it out completely if needed.

I thought about that but this place is really small and I have nowhere to put the bench. I may do a folding bench.

Just leave the freestanding bench in the shower and move it wherever you want when showering.
