What color white should I choose?

I bought a home a 6 months ago and I had every intention of not painting the wood. After living with it for six months I've decided to go ahead and paint it white. Now, I can't decide which white to choose. I'm leaning towards Benjamin Moore's Decorators White or Simply White. What are your thoughts? Oh! All of the carpet has been removed and light hardwood flooring is going in it's place. I'm on a budget so I'd like to paint the kitchen cabinets the same color white on top and do a grey on bottom. Also My home is surrounded by beautiful oak tress that provide shade so there is not a ton of natural sunlight. Thanks in advance for your advice.

I think L W is referring to Swiss Coffee and is right about almost every company having that color.. We used it in a previous home and it worked nicely. I'm pretty sure it was Dunn Edward's Swiss Coffee.

From the testing in our house, Dove White had just a hint of gray which could work well for your kitchen if you paint the lower cabinets gray.

Dove white is a nice white for woodwaork and cabinets not quite as stark white as the others. I hope you are changing the counter in the kitchen too and get rid of the hideous sunshine ceiling in there too.Threst of the house is quire nice but that kitchen really needs a redo

I agree Dove White is nice. You might also look at Cloud White.

Yes, the kitchen will be receiving a complete facelift. But Because of $$$ I need to paint the cabinets.

Dove white may end up looking similar to the white that is present. If your keeping warm tones, Simply white may not work due to brightness and yellow undertone. This is one case where Swiss White (or what ever it is called) may work. It is too yellow in my environment. Every manufacture has one. Behr's is pre mixed...could be taken back if it does not look like it has been used.

May I suggest that you at least keep the beams in the wood tone. Do pick out your wood floor before you select the lower / warm gray cabinet color you are considering ..

LRV is an indicator to look at. Spring is not the best time to choose a white. It can produce grey shadows. Agree with keeping the beams a wood tone. The white with a higher LRV will be brighter even with it's undertones. I have Simply White through out my home, east and west light and large green evergreens. I would not change it.
