Try TruStile doors thru your local lumberyard.

How tall are your ceilings? Is this for one door or will all of your doors be 7'6" ?

Yo millwork man backup. I don't shop big box . my ceilings are 9' framer ro'd 7'11 " same height windows hung at on 2nd floor. 10' clgs first floor with 8' doors. I don't like the trustile. Although good answer. Just asking if anyone knows a manufacturer of 7'6" .probably can't afford special made.special order doesn't matter.my windows weren't in stock either. If they are to much$, I can just get 7'. Hate to have my husband do all that work. Not dealing with framer anymore. He said I was going with 6'8" and transom. Must have me confused with someone else.

    idnash,

If you contact your local lumber yard, they can custom order the doors you need in the exact dimensions that you want from several manufacturers at different price points. I ordered Trustile doors but Simpson made a similar door at a cheaper price. The lumber yard should be able to guide you to different manufacturers that you can order the doors from. I agree with Millworkman in that the lumberyard can also recommend manufacturers to order such a tall door from.

I am sure Lowes and Home Depot can custom order doors to your specification also but you may not get the best advice for such a tall door.

Before assuming that the doors would be too expensive from a millshop, give them a call and get a quote.

    Good luck!

Thanks homepro01 . I haven't been able to stop in to my lumber yard where I purchased 50,000.00 worth. I'm rebuilding my house after hurricane sandy. I get contractor pricing, I was just wondering if anyone knew of a manufacturer who makes a 7' 6. " standard. Masonite etc.. Make 6'8" and 8", and others make 7' stock. I do assume that custom will be more but I will inquire what the cost is and I will also stop by other building supply co. But I'm also still asking if anyone out there has purchased 7'6" raised two panel doors.

Trustile will make you a 2' high door that is architectural correct. I am using the three panel doors. They will make 7'6" doors. They don't have a stock door. They gave a door builder on their website and you can email that to your lumber yard for pricing. Trustile is just one example. There are many others.

I realize the thread is ancient, but for other seekers of 7'6" doors, StileChoice by IHS doors has a 7'6" standard product line.
