Help us orient our house!

Hi! We are building new construction, and we have a choice on whether our house should face Street B or Street A. The attached picture shows the house facing Street A, the other option would be to rotate it 90 degrees so it faces Street B. If the house faces Street A, we need to have a extra long driveway due to township regulations for that specific placement. If the house faces Street B, the driveway would be a normally placed driveway. From a lighting standpoint, I believe if our house faces Street A, we would get a lot more afternoon sunlight in the kitchen and family room (which would face West), whereas if our house faces Street B, we would get less light (family room would face North). Lighting is really important to me, but I don't know how big of a deal this odd shaped driveway would be! (especially thinking about resale value down the road). Any tips advice people have?

I do not like West light. It changes the color of the walls; windows always look dirty; the hardwood floors show every single speck of dust.

North light is great light because you don't have the glare of the sun...but a good paint color can make that North room feel like it is facing South.

We recently downsized and I deliberately looked for a house with no West light (that is my garage side of the house).

So, I vote for Street B.

I can't see NSEW marked for reference, nor a 3D of the home. But I would always articulate a home for the best solar gain - specifically in a cooler or moderate climate. And who's to say the home has to face specifically street A or B anyway? (Seriously who makes these archaic rules?) I'd prefer to see a house on a corner lot set cantilevered/on a diagonal. It's an opportunity to break out of the mold here so why not?! Post a rendering of the home for a better idea and if possible the lot also. There are so many considerations a 2D is not enough info...
