Be sure to paint the garage door the same color as the house and do not outline the trim on it. The idea is to make your front door the focal point. Right now the eye is drawn to the garage..and I doubt most people enter your house through it. :-)

Yes there is a raised patio. Was thinking of redoing it and the stairs with roman pavers. Are you saying make the garage door white? Also, was thinking of adding some stone to the two story side. I just don't know how to lay it out.... Perhaps to columns up either side to the top. What about lighting.

Paint the garage door the same color as the body of the house. Not white! An arbor would be a great addition to the exterior.

Like the one with the arbor. I thought perhaps of adding stone facing up the two story side to add some color and character. Perhaps up either side to mimic columns.

I don't think those pavers will work on your porch (what you are calling a patio) or steps.

I think I understand what you mean. So it looks like a stone foundation on either side of the garage door? If so then the Roman pavers and stone together will look odd. you can stain the steps adn the porch to give them an updated look.
