Good evening! In my professional opinion, I would consider the following questions when considering the purchase of a new home. Does the home have good bones? How do you feel about the interiors? Would investing the money in it cosmetically bring you a return on your investment? Is that important to you.

Yes the house is priced really low. That is why I am considering renovation to fit what I like. I understand the house wont look like the 2 i posted but was mainly to get general idea of if the colors would work. (after taking down the stones..) Thanks.

As long as the house is structurally sound, is in your desired location, and has the square footage you want, I would buy it. IMO you can't lose. 1) You'll have rental income from the basement while you renovate the upper floors and 2) any changes you make will be an improvement and add value.

I think the rock is fine -- it's the rust-colored shutters and trim that are dating the color scheme. Your inspiration photo is a good one. Hope this worked out.
