Brother Innovis V5 isnt picking up bobbin thread after a thread tangle

Hi I don't know if anyone help, I had a massive thread tangle on my Brother Innovis V5 it was all caught up in the under the plate etc. (Yes I left the machine to make a cuppa ) I have managed to clear it all out but now the top thread doesn't catch the bottom, if that makes sense, I cant find anything in the manual that helps apart from the usual instructions on how to clear and clean the race and bobbin etc. which I have done any advise would be greatly appreciated. I might have to phone brother tomorrow :-(
