I surprise myself by liking the one small window best. Second choice, one large window. Somehow the two-window design just looks boring.

I would choose between the large window or the small window. Not the two windows. You don't have any activity (aka. Sink/dishes) in front if it so it's mostly for the feeling that you aren't trapped in a kitchen cave. I'd therefor go with the one big window (plus more storage on the other side--yay!).

I like the 2-window option... provides balance. I also like the large window. the small one wouldn't let much light in especially because it's beside the cabinets.

Don't do non-matching two windows - not a fan of the slider with the vertical muntin either . . natural light is very useful in a kitchen .. so I would go with one larger window, leaving the stove on the other wall .. It can be dangerous to have oxygen / breeze blowing directly across onto the stove burners and the exhaust hood will grab all your fresh air when it is on .. instead of pulling it into the room as is best . .

Aside from the windows, having an island extend beyond the framed archway is not a good look.

I love the 2 windows flanking the cooktop and I would tile that entire wall to the ceiling and around the windows.

The sink should go under the largest window you can afford. Lots of natural light will make spending time in the kitchen much more pleasant for you and the whole family. Unless, of course, that means moving the plumbing, which may be a bigger $$ commitment than you want to make.

If I did the two window design, they would be matching windows. I accidentally used different windows on the Ikea CAD software. All the electrical and plumbing will be new for this room, but I just like the sink in the island idea.

I like the two windows. In fact, that is what we did. And I love it. This picture was taken the day before they finished the window trim. I wanted lots of cabinets but didn't want to give up a window completely.

The more light the better. I would go with an horizontal window. You can still have your range hood.

Two window flanking the cooktop - don’t like the idea - you will have grease and splatter.

I would flip the sink and stove.
Put the stove in the island and the sink facing out the beautiful big window.

Or if you can’t do that stick with the one window.

Agree with those saying they love the one small window!
