have you thought or reorienting the sofa? Looks like there is a decent amount of empty space to the left of your area. Also an area rug under your table will help anchor and define your space.

I think you've done a nice job so far. The table lamps are a bit small. You might consider a more substantial table lamp and a floor lamp instead. Flanking your art piece with two smaller pieces on either side, to simulate the below effect would give more presence to your sofa wall.



Below are a few items that may work for you. I like the bold patterns in the neutral palettes for your room paired with the simple lamps. Maybe it'll give you some ideas.

Area rug, art, some inspiration.

These are great idea's. I like the room that you posted Manon. I would love to get a tufted ottoman like the one in the pic but it is not in the budget in the moment. I have thought about making one from a Goodwill table but haven't found the right one. Thanks again!

Consider working more of your art piece's colors into your room - rugs, accessories, pillows, drapes. You might actually like it if you enhance the room with its vibe. Otherwise, start with other art or rug and go from there with your palette.

Definitely a nice big area rug would help. I actually would go for something with a geometric pattern -- your room can carry pattern very well because of the neutral canvas the walls and floor give you, and that would give you the opportunity to pull at least a couple of your choice colors together.

The chair's cushions would also be a great opportunity to pull your palette together.

couple of ideas for you - love the painting - might be a bit small for over the sofa, but if you add more toss cushions etc. to the mix it'll work.

ADD colour - that'll give you wow factor - find either the green or the blue - then mix and match teal, green, cream and chrome to make everything pop. Good luck!

For tv, maybe darker console or sofa table (?) with tv wall mounted.....also for your window by sofa, how about adding another panel to each side for a pop of color/interest? Ditto for dining area, add another panel for luxurious look.

One little tidbit...can you rotate the art above the sofa to have the lines run horizontal? If there isn't a signature..it could work better that way. An area rug and a new wall color will transform the space.

Nice job on contrast of muted tones playing off heavy texture... I see a heavier textured rug with subtle color here, grounding the natural characteristics of the coffee table, baskets etc. I wish you had another square painting to hang adjacent to the existing....such a nice big wall to play with! I'm attaching some good options regarding rug choice.
