Nothing is timeless. Every choice you make will date your kitchen in some way. Your best bet is to pick things you truly love and can live with even if they are longer trendy.

Backsplash is not a major purchase, nor irreplaceable, so I would choose what you like and will enjoy. Your kitchen is very classic and lovely.

Regardless of what you do eventually like everything else things will be dated , what matters the most is what you like now! , back splashes will last a very long time and so will your kitchen cabinets ,so my advise on this is ,to go for it and when in 10 - 20 years down the road it comes time to change the cabinets you will also change the back splash ,trends come and go :)

I agree with everyone else here do what you love, they only thing that seems to have stuck around for time is subway tile. I love the arabesque tile, I agree its trendy, but so isn't gray and I did gray walls in my whole house...Some day I will have to paint again.

Trends come and go. You need choose the tile you are happy with and works well with your kitchen. It is you who spends time every day in this room.

i dont think the tile is a great match, its reading green with your counter being pink/purple, so decide if that is true in real life as well.

'go what you want' is what i'd say as far as things getting dated, but i'll also say arabesque tile looks better in a bathroom than in a kitchen.

That style tile has been around for a thousand years so it might not be ' timeless' but it's pretty dang close. If you like it, if it's what makes you happy stop worrying about trends. Kitchens are blouses or shoes you don't have to follow the styles with them from season to season. Design your home to live in not for the camera.

I like the arabesque tiles but I can't say if I'd be tired of them in a few years or not. I think you'll be happiest if you choose what you love vs what everyone says you should love.

Pretty much the only backsplash people suggest here is a white/offwhite subway tile. I'd say about 90% of the time it is what is suggested. "It's classic" they say, but when everyone does the exact same backsplash it's boring and becomes a trend. Kind of like how everyone wants marble or marble-looking Quartz right now. I like your tile because it's plain and simple, but has a little interest in it with the pattern...easy on the eyes but beautiful. Also, you can choose how much the pattern is a feature by choosing a darker grout if you want it to stand out, or by selecting a matching grout that makes it look like a uniform surface until you get up close.

Did you figure out what kind of backlash you want?

I think the arabesque will look great in this room. However, the color of the tile you show doesn't look right against your granite. Get more samples and see if you can find a better match. Go for color first, before shape.
