Thank you! Glass mosaic sounds very intriguing. I will have to do more research on that. The airplanes are just stickers, quite inexpensive but go well with the aviation chair in the living room.

Glass mosaic sems the best or maybe textured pillar.

In fact it seems you have two pillars. Either let them blend in the background as is the case now and let other features speak for themselves... or paint both. Alternatively you could paint the pipes on your ceiling in different accent colours (red, blue and green) to draw the eye upwards. But personally, I like what you have going and I don't think it needs fixing.

What about painting the wall behind it a cool color? A pop of green or blue maybe- it would give the pillar the focus it needs. Amazing space.

I may leave it, thank you. Painting the wall may work, will have to look at the color range. I do have a few things hung on that long wall so not sure if a bright color would go well with the decor.

You've been to Restoration Hardware:-). Fun space. That pillar is interesting and I can see why you're asking for help. I don't mean interesting "bad" just interesting "challenging". Mirror came to mind for me as well, but I think I'm leaning toward leaving it white. Since you like RH, you could wrap it in industrial rope?!?
