My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Shoo Fly Quilt Binding Opinions

I'm having second thoughts. My original plan was to add a solid 2" white border around the top and then bind with either 1) scrappy greens and purples or 2) solid dark purple.

But now that I finally have my backing fabric pieced, I'm not so sure. To me the top has a fun, contemporary feel, while the back reads more elegant. I actually like this juxtaposition, but not sure how to bind to make both sides "work" (since I think both of the above options detract from the backing fabric).

Any suggestions?

    If you're afraid the dark purple would detract from the back, why not choose the darkest purple from the backing and use that along with your white border. I think your quilt looks great. It's always so much fun to see what the lotto winnings look like. Nice work.
