Thank you! It is an espresso stain on White Oak.

When using an espresso stain is the grain of the wood still visible? did you wet the wood before applying the stain? looking to get the same effect on my white oak. Thanks!

I'm not sure if they conditioned the wood or not, actually. However, I can suggest that White Oak has less noticeable grain when stained dark than Red Oak. You will still see the wood grain, but will be less noticeable for sure....the color will even out the color variation which is the first noticeable characteristic of Oak. Use a matte finish rather than a high gloss finish to assist in that. If all else fails and you want a real consistent color, you can always dye the flooring too. I suggest talking to your floor professional and doing numerous samples to get the look you are hoping for. Good luck!
