For the drain we drill a standard 2 inch hole and for the overflow we drill a standard 2 1/4 inch hole.

Hello, I'm going to jump onto this question too, I was about to purchase the drain and overflow part, but the specs quoted that it fit 1 1/2" pipe. No mention of the size of the actual holes. Are these standard hole dimensions? Thank you!

I'm not sure as to what the pipe size would be in relation to the flange but if I was you I would check with the faucet supplier as to what size the flange is around the drain. Most of these are a standard size though so odds are it would fit.
