Luxurious velvet pillows in darker shades might work. Colours like pumpkin, maroon, chocolate, and deep moss. Also, mix in something a little furry and exotic - like Mongolian wool in cream.

because you have so many patterns in the rug. i am changing my mind. i would just use the taupe or rust velvets.

You can still pop in some lighter coloured pillows for the summer. Teal and red, or turquoise and orange.

Target Threshold

I think the blue pillows BeverlyFLADeziner recommended would be amazing! It's a subtle color that would add a nice touch to the space and complement the table.

I think the pattern of the rug may be a little too overpowering for the table.

idk why I had a hard time finding red - but kjoy's red is nice. Your room doesn't say velvety to me. A subtle casual texture instead, for the table's sake.

I didn't mind your curtains the same as the paint precisely because of the windows. I'd try a balance with rectangular unframed art or pale wood / to the right.

Someone might say - hang another curtain there - in a way, why not...put money into buying very wide panels, and the fullness would keep 'dark wall' less noticeable... let's see, would you want semi-sheers in the middle!? :)
