What to do with extra "room" next to family room?

We have all this space next to our family room. I believe it was a mid room or study before we bought it, but the wall was removed. Now we have this space but don't know what to do with it. We currently have an out of date hutch and storage towers that will be removed. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Depends on your family and activities. Could put a table and chairs there for games and puzzles. Could put a bookcase and a cozy chair/lamp for reading on rainy days. could set it up with a desk for office stuff, or a craft table, or a piano, or. . .

How about a family game table? Could also be used as a homework center depending on age of kids. And bookshelves/built in cabinets for storage? Or, all bookcases and a comfy chair or two plus lamp for reading.

exactly!! and there's even space for a dart board!

(And OP, I'm not being sarcastic! I'd love to have a bar in the family room. We didn't have room, so we built one on the outside deck.)

Thanks for the suggestions all...
It's not a huge space, so we were thinking of a wall to wall bookcase with a small built in desk (similar to how some kitchens have a desk). I would love to incorporate a small bar too but not sure how it would look.

Ideally, book case, small dry bar (just a spot to keep liquor and pour drinks) but no fridge or anything, and a writing desk.

Are there any pro's who might know how to do all 3 in one space? I'm open to do a built in.
