Drying Time for Pantry Shelves

I painted my pantry shelves with SW Pro Classic water based acrylic alkyd, which is supposed to be great for cabinets and shelves. It's been two weeks and the shelves are still sticky (not to the touch, but if I leave anything light weight on the shelves for a period of time). How long does this take to cure? Should I cover with a polyurethane or wax? Advice?

Perhaps cover the shelves with wax paper and allow another couple weeks for curing. You'll find they still cure, but nothing will stick or noticeably mar the paint

Take them out of the pantry and leave them in a well ventilated area for a couple of days.
