For practical as well as ambiance purposes I would consider placing the table parallel to and in front of the water feature...it is close to the house entry and can benefit the dining experience with the water sounds and humidity on hot days...with all the wood and stone I would also suggest adding lots of greenery around the water feature ...perhaps some big pots with smaller pots surrounding it..even a few water plants if there is space and it is practical...as to the seating I would pull out the stops and get fabulous chairs for the side of the table that faces the water feature and a bench on the side next to the water...this way you will mostly dine and enjoy the seating facing the water feature ...mainly using the other side when you have big groups...all the niches and corners would benefit from good sized potted plants to bring some living elements to your yard...having your table close to the house(kitchen) and in view from the house will make eating outdoors more inviting ..rather than a sort of just when you feel like going to the trouble ...the inviting seating draws you out on sunny mornings for coffee and the newspaper..whatever location you choose it will be good to plan on some shade providing elements as well...

Another suggestion on plants in pots ...choosing some evergreens will keep the space looking good so that on sunny winter days it will still be inviting to go outside..rather than only pots with dormant stems Etc.
