New Miele Little Giant model in USA

The Miele PW 6065 Little Giant in the USA is being replaced by a new model, the PW 6068, judging from the Miele Professional USA and A.J. Madison sites. Prices and colors are the same, as are the specs.

I compared the PW 6065 and PW 6068 user manuals using an online PDF comparison tool. Significant differences are:

1) Only spin speed allowed on Cottons Hygiene and Cottons Universal is 1400 RPM.

2) Refers to "fixing bracket" instead of "retaining clips" to secure the machine atop a masonry base.

3) Reference to optional stronger drain pump, for drain heights above 3 ft., has been removed.

The first is obviously an energy-saving measure. Hopefully there are no other energy-consumption changes that impact performance.

@SuburbanMD - Thanks for this research. It's something I was interested in but hadn't had the time to sit down and do the comparison. Suffice to say, glad to have the 6065 with the variable spin speeds. Sometimes 1400rpm is just too fast but I don't want to use Delicates or Minimum Iron.

We 3 are lucky to have new PW6065 Plus washers. I cannot love my washer more! Heaven, and I will actually say it...Perfection!!!!

I noticed that Miele USA has brochures for "residential" and "industrial" Little Giants. Maybe the 6068 is a residential model, thus the "Normal" cycle has a locked spin speed for better efficiency?

I was told today by a Miele dealer that the W3038 is the only new Miele available in the US.

OK, mama, another dealer for you to put on your no-no list. LOL. The W3048 has now been out for several months and any Miele dealer should know about that one. I hope this wasn't Don's appliance in Pittsburgh??

Mama...W3048 is new and available. PW6065 and PW6068 are available.

It was Dons...LOL...I only called to inquire..I spoke to a lady...she had no clue and could give me no info on the machine..I really only called for giggles

I looked at their website earlier today. They still have on their site is W3037, which is the last model that allows users to adjust water levels, I think. You should call and ask if they still have that in stock

whirlpool_trainee, the Little Giant appears to be mainly a commercial washer in the USA, and is offered for residential use under Miele's "Professional for the Home" marketing. I've seen nothing to make me think there's any difference between my home Little Giant and the one they might have at the neighborhood vet or salon. The PW 6068 is definitely commercial, as it's so far only on the Miele Professional site in the USA, not on the regular Miele USA site.

Okay we are considering buying 2, one for my home one for my sisters home. Has anyone washed a comforter in these? can it handle it?

The new little giant models were displayed at the kitchen and bath show this month, here is the press release announcing the North American market debut. The other press releases for other new appliances all seem to mention a July timeframe, so maybe timing is similar for these.
