My friends home has one if these! They put a pond in it- it's a little bigger than yours, a small seating area, ferns, and the pond tub. Its a really fun feature. Lots of maintainance, as the humidity can build- theirs is open to the sky, no ceiling. That means they have to clean algea/moss stuff off the windows on occasion. It may also mean you need to make sure there is proper drainage under it.

It adds a ton of light to what would be a pretty dark home. Their house is all updated, and it doesn't look weird/old, just gives off a "wow neat!" vibe.
