Janie, don't work from pictures or even paint colours on-line, particularly where greys are concerned, there are so many undertones. Your best bet would be to get some colour chips from your local paint store - even get 2 or 3 if you can to make a bigger sample - tape them to your walls and check them out over at least a 24 hour period to see the effect in different light and at different times of the day. Once you have narrowed it down to 2 or 3 colours then I would try sample pots and paint two coats on a section of wall - you should get around one square metre - and leave that for a few days before deciding.

What about Benjamin Moore " revere pewter" HC 172?

Thanks. I have the BM color deck and have been sampling 2x2 squares in several spots (2 coats). Funny one of my color samples is revere pewter but ran out of sample since I was Trying in another room as well. Another dilemma I have is that you can see this bedroom from the living room main area see below where the colors are warm and neutral with gold green tones and I'm afraid blue or a cool tone won't blend nicely. thoughts?

If your room has a north aspect that is equivalent to our south which are generally quite dull and cold rooms. Maybe your problem with getting a colour right is that you do in fact need a warmer colour - greys are just not going to work.

I note your room is presently yellow - maybe consider yellow again but in a softer shade. I have just painted my cold south facing room in a soft custard yellow shade with lots of white and it really looks fresh and inviting. You could even bring green tones into accents to tie your other rooms in.

I love shaker beige!! Macadamia is beautiful too!!! I have those similar colors in my house and they're perfect. Good idea! :)

CORRECTION!! Big window faces WEST and side south !!

If you are getting most of your light from that west window, that may be iwhy your beiges are not looking so great. West light can be pretty mean. My suggestion would be to get into the taupes and grays in the 2100 series. Look for one that has a lavender undertone. I would try 2116-60 Touch of Gray. It will hold its own against that afternoon light.

If most of your light is coming from the South, try BM gull Wing Gray.

OK, if your main light is west then yellow is out of the question - too hot. Unfortunately I don't know the paints you are talking but judyg has done some great rooms so do check out her suggestions.
