Short people/tall kitchens!!

I could swear that somewhere I saw a pull-out drawer, that goes in the toe-kick under the cabinets, that has a "pop-up" little step ladder in it....but I can't find it anywhere on the internet...don't even know what to call it... Anyone ever see one of these?? I know I've seen them in bathrooms for children.

I think what you want is a specialty item made by Hafele. I would guess a talented carpenter could build one though.

If you do a google search for "toe kick ladder" you should see some posts and links.

As a potential alternative, here's a photo of an idea I like a lot! If you have a shallow panel on an end run of cabinets or space on the end of an island this could work. I like the idea that you're not bending over a lot to get to the stool.
