This backsplash is Boral-Thin Brick - I would recommend speaking with your local Boral rep further about this product. However, I can let you know that you have the option to seal the brick, but the brick can also be cleaned simply with soap/detergent.

this is a silica, quartz concrete type material. essentially you have to treat it like a brick or concrete wall. Sealer as suggested earlier may shift the colour and if you plan on using it, will need to be cleaned properly first. A good scrub, using a brush with something like TSP will likely be your most effect cleaner now & from time to time as required. if you use TSP put old towels along counter to capture excess moisture. Let dry thoroughly before application of any sealer. Prior to using any chemicals check with Boral Best Block to determine if there is any reason this versatile cleaner wouldn't be suitable. it is used by painters to prepare surfaces for generations! Week to week, vacuum thoroughly.
