Brazillian Cherry floors show everything!

Does anyone have any suggestions for our hardwood floors? We love the color but they show everything especially dust. I'm wondering if there is a different finish we could use that would be more forgiving. Our poor dog is banished to the entry rug right now with spring coming and dirty paws.

It's not the finish it is the color, darker colors like the cherry are very rich and beautiful however they show more dust , etc than light wood. It is a trade off.

Darker floors are suffering at the sales counter because of this fact - however, their are satin or even matte finishes to hardwoods now that help hide a multitude of sins. I'd try that.

Get a Roomba! My friend has large floor areas and she entertains weekly for our home group. She loves it! It will vacuum for you!
