Pruning Black Rot on Grapes

Well after a couple wet weeks here in middle TN, my Neptune grape vine is showing signs of black rot. I had sprayed with some copper sulfate mixture, but nothing on a schedule. Guessing I should have been more attentive. Reading some of the other threads, I have found some great info for prevention next year. However, in regards to pruning, all the info refers to pruning one the vine goes dormant. Is there reason not to prune the infected small fruits or leaves now? Any advice? I can accept no fruit this season, just want a healthy plant for the future.
