Please tell - they look like pennies, but what are they?!! Warms up the black/white emphasis. And love the use of the Singer machine. How hard to do all this? :)

Yes - they are actual pennies. I went over the original tile floor since it was on a slab. So skim coat to level and then I made sheets of the pennies on fiberglass mesh and lay like regular sheets of tile. If I had to do over I would do one at a time really with locktite glue. I then grouted and did 5 coats of poly. It matches the wood flooring sort of in the hall and only raised my floor the thickness of a penny. The sink is sewing machine base and old marble on top had a professional put drain and faucet hole in it.
