Hello, new to forum. We are trying to identify what we assume is a huge growing weed which sprang up in front of my mother's window in a flower bed. We simply can't figure it out. This is in Ohio.

It has huge, broad, small-toothed edge leaves, large fuzzy stem. EDIT: A cluster of "pods" has come out, which reminds me of a pinecone shape.

Any info much appreciated! She actually would like to leave it there as it's providing shade and privacy over a western window, lol, but not if it's invasive or noxious.
