I like the table and chairs you have now; I would do a brightly colored large patterned area rug under that (as suggested) and match a few of those colors on your couches with pillows and throws. A media cabinet is a good idea, maybe in a painted jewel tone or a metallic instead of another wood.

I agree that a brightly colored large rug would help immensely! Pull colors from the rug for pillows and accessories. With the colors you already have in the room, I would go with reds, oranges, yellows, vibrant greens and blues, or even purple would look great!

I would like a wood table better. I like the softness of the room and would not add bright colors. Maybe a pale green blue or a cream. Buy your sofas first though.

I actually like what you have. The only thing that throws me off is the table behind the sofa. I think you could do away with it. However if you really like the idea of having a sofa table it really should be the length of the sofa and more clean lines like your dining table.
The coffee table can be more cozy by adding some accessories like books and a small vase with flowers. If you really don't like the coffee table anymore then I would get one that is more substantial (wood, marble, or a mix of both).
For the dining chairs, add those small fur/faux fur pieces or pillows with a fantastic print or a pop of color.
The sofa could use a throw and a couple of printed pillows with nice bright colors or a solid that is a contrast to the sofa.
The picture attached gives you a sense of what I mean.
Also I agree with getting something different for the tv.
And I would love to see that floor lamp you have in the corner by the sofa, but not sure if that's possible.
Wall to wall curtains, with heavier on the ends and sheer in the middle would give it more coziness also.
