That door in the staircase is actually a tiny powder room, which is so odd and quirky--but I love it! The original tile was cracked beyond repair, so we used this 2" black marble hex to give a fun nod to the 20s.

Oddly enough, to provide more background here, a car crashed into our house which cracked all the plaster walls/ceilings and floors beyond repair. This project is part of the rebuild. We wanted to stay true to the original style of the home while incorporating a few modern upgrades. I posted our kitchen before & after in another thread, if anyone is interested--and there's more to come!
